This year we have a new project. Our students in 4th and 5th year will have penfriends. The chosen

country is RUSSIA. Click here to see our friends' school.

Where it is situated.

The pupils dessign some cards with a topic. WHERE I LIVE. They explain about their city, country, village, neighbourhood. Then, they vote the 3 ones that they like the best and they are uploaded to the Cambridge official website, where everybody can watch them.

COOPERATIVE LEARNING     

                                    can/can't 2nd A and B

Our students like working in cooperative learning and they do it very well. 
Students must work in groups to complete tasks collectively toward a goal. They learn, they help each other, they try to solve their problems, they explain to the rest of the groups their final result. A poster.

FONIX 2014

Do you want to take part in the English Competition The Fonix? 
Are you in 5th, 6th year in Primary School or 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th in Secondary school? 
Once again we are going to join THE FONIX 2014 (The Seventh English Competition for Catalan Schools), which is designed to promote the use of English among school students through a fun and educational competition in an informal educational setting. Participation is free.
The competition is financed exclusively by the organisers (International House Barcelona and the Fundació Catalana de l'Esplai) and the sponsors (Cambridge University Press, Cambridge ESOL Examinations and Netlanguages). The competition also receives support from the Department of Education of the Government of Catalonia, as part of its plan of excellence for the promotion of the use of English in schools. Here you will find related information and links about rules, prizes or the calendar.

If you're interested in taking part, give to your tutor the newsletter you received via email with your name on it saying that you want to participate before MONDAY 2Oth January 2014

ORIGAMI STARS!!!!

Before Christmas the students in year 5th did a competencial activity in English which consisted of doing an origami star and then they gave this lovely present to their reading partner in 1st year  of "apadrinament lector" project. Apart from this origami star they had prepared a Christmas tree. Lots of presents, lot of love to the children!
